Pygmy hogs are the smallest and rarest species of wild pigs in the world. The species faced severe habitat loss and were thought to be extinct in the 1960s. In recent decades, the Pygmy Hog Conservation Breeding Centre and other various conversation efforts have brought the species back.

The Pygmy Hog Conservation BreedingProgram is run jointly by the Indian government, the BritishDurrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and the local non-profit organisation Aaranyak.

Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Limited (KEPL) provided the following supplies to Aaranyak for their Pygmy Hog Conservation Breeding Programme:

  • 2 Power Generators (10 and 15 KVA)
  • Rain Coats (500 quantities)
  • Field Shoes (500 quantities)
  • High Power Torchlights
