Building on the success of Q1 2025, Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Limited’s partnership with RESQ Charitable Trust’s Wildlife Intensive Care Unit entered its second quarter with sustained momentum and impact. Between August and October 2025, the facility continued to serve as a critical emergency response hub for wildlife in distress, operating at notably high capacity during this period.

The Wildlife ICU admitted 518 animals during this quarter, representing 112 distinct species. The caseload comprised predominantly avian species alongside mammalian cases, reflecting the diverse wildlife challenges across the region. During this period, 149 animals were successfully rehabilitated and released back into their natural habitats, with an additional 36 cases remaining under active treatment at the quarter’s conclusion due to the complexity and severity of their injuries.

Admissions predominantly involved trauma-related cases, including territorial conflicts among raptors, urban collision injuries, entanglement, fractures, electrocution incidents and dehydration associated with seasonal transitions. Each case required tailored clinical protocols ranging from emergency stabilisation and fluid therapy to surgical intervention and extended wound management.

As we continue this collaboration with RESQ Charitable Trust, KEPL remains focused on supporting measurable conservation outcomes that protect India’s natural heritage, through strategic partnerships with organisations delivering proven conservation impact.
