RESQ is a registered Charitable Organisation dedicated to saving, protecting and serving animals since 2007. It is one of the first animal rescue organisations in Pune.

This charity runs on donations from various organisations, companies and individuals.

KEPL has been continually supporting RESQ in its activities. We donated special equipment to the charity for better functionality. The equipment donated during the financial year 2019-2020 was as follows:

• Telescopic Pole: A pneumatically extending pole made of lightweight carbon fibre used to rescue birds trapped in electric wire or kite thread. This pole secures safety of the birds and helps the RESQ team members by offering elevation and ease.

The team safely rescued over 750+ birds and small mammals over the year with the help of the telescopic pole.

• Automatic panel for Diesel generator at the RESQ Centre (DG 10kv): This auto start panel generator keeps over 250 neonatal animals and birds at the rescue centre warm with a heater through the night and ensures temperature control in intensive care units (ICUs).

KEPL also helped in the regular repairs and maintenance of the plumbing facility at the RESQ Centre, Pune.
