The Indian Herpetological Society (IHS) is an NGO that plays an instrumental role in the recuse and rehabilitation of wild animals, including their scientific captive management and further rehabilitation.

The IHS was established in 1986 by a group of eminent scientists, researchers and social activists to promote the study and conservation of herpetofauna in India. It is a parent organisation of Katraj Snaake Park, started in 1986. The Park plays a vital role in the awareness and dissemination of knowledge among the public.
