Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE /POSITION:

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Study & prepare the DOP as per the monthly operating plan.
2. Work allocation, monitoring & loading in MOP software.
3. Review the project scope of work, schedules, and approved specification to meet the requirements.
4. Study the BOM, Piping isometrics, PID & GAD to finalize the piping fabrication layouts
5. Review the piping drawings for any special items/ subcontract requirements.
6. Coordinate requirements for piping & technical support with as engineering design teams to work compilation & execution.
7. Coordinate the material issuance & monitor the productivity.
8. Prepare the weld maps for NDT requirements as per approved drawings & Inspection test plans.
9. Monitor the welders & welding process as per approved WPS/PQR.
10. Prepare the welding continuity records & maintain the documentation.
11. Provide technical support during fabrication related problems & unitization.
12. Coordinate the third party inspection along with QA & assembly dept.
13. Coordinate & support the internal dept. ( M/C shop, QC, assembly, testing, painting & packing)
14. Overall responsibilities of half yearly & yearly inventory of piping components.
15. Ensure the safe working & good practices at the shop floor.

Secondary Responsibilities:

1. Study the wiring diagrams & JB cabling scope and give feedback of discrepancies to Engg. Dept./Instrumentation Dept. if any.
2. Coordinate with material issuance, assembly department & Instrumentation department for instrument cabling activity.
3. Provide support in troubleshooting on site problems of piping to CSD departments
4. Prepare & maintain the ISO documentation for the ISO audits.
5. Prepare & generate PR for consumable requirements as per the MOP.
6. Support quality department in reviewing the radiograph films of piping joints
7. Support & train the sub-ordinates regarding Piping fabrication & unitization activity.
8. To maintain 5S activity
