Description

Carrying out the pump performance testing for each & every pump Manufactured in KEPL is a mandatory requirement. Along with technical knowledge base, the people management skill & good communication skills to handle TPI or Customer representatives is equally important.

• Study the project specific pump performance Curves, ITP testing requirements & carry out the pump testing activities.
• In case of any technical issues/deviations, co-ordinate with Engineering/AE team, Quality, Production etc., corresponding team for its resolution.
• Offer the pumps to TPI inspector or Customer representative, test report preparation & submission according to applicable specification.
• Knowledge of Pumps, Seals and Seal System, Motors, LOS, various Pump Testing Standards is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Planning & testing as per DOP.
• Checking Datasheet, performance curve, ITP for internal testing or customer witness/ inspection.
• Internal testing & in case of any deviations co-ordinate with Pump Engineering / Application Engineering team.
• Supervision, Guidance, Safety precautions of the assigned team of workers in pump testing lab.
• Test reports generation and review of report with Customer third party inspector.
• If required plan for testing of KEPL high capacity/high power pumps in KBL HRC test lab.
• Preparation & maintaining data of cost saving & energy conservation.
• Data preservation by maintaining records of daily report, pump test certificate.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support for ISO documentation and ISO audits.
• Maintaining data for Energy conservation.
• Preparation of MOP, NPSH requirement, Motor requirement data etc.
