KEPL has been granted the patent for the innovative design of their Axially Split multistage(BB3) Pump type KB3D. This has enlarged their market offering in different new sectors.  The new design of their KB3D pump gives significant improvement over the conventional design. The innovative patented design of “interstage stage cross over passage” reduces the box pressure on the seal chamber at NDE. The lower box pressure reduces wear and tear on the seals, which leads to longer seal life. The reduced pressure also gives better thrust balancing and bearing life. With the balanced pressure distribution, top and bottom casing joint stability and robustness allows higher operating pressure thus the pumps can be used in more demanding applications.
